This hack restores the palettes to the correct format so the game displays properly. Patches for US and EU ROMs are included. Full details are in the README file. From what I have read it has a total color palette of 512 colors, with the ability to display 61 colors at once during actual gameplay. WebColors in the Genesis palette are 9 bits, 3 per color channel, allowing a total of 512 colors. So basically, each color component can be represented by a number between 0 and 7 (inclusive). You'd probably approximate the levels with these 8 numbers: 0,36,73,109,146,182,219,255.
