WebHello. I have a Sears Craftsman Eager 1, 6.75 hp, 22 inch self propelled lawn mower (Model 917.377190) which has a problem somewhere in the carb. The carb was rebuilt this Spring and the mower started up and ran beautifully until recently. Then it would start up but only run for a second or two before dying. WebJun 22, 2024 · Hi, My Craftsman Eager-1 won't start. The spark plug gives a normal spark. The air filter looks dirty but removing it doesn't help to start the machine, so I guess it's not the air filter. I opened the carburetor. It seemed pretty clean. The holes in the nozzle tube are not clogged, so I didn't clean anything.
